Michael A. Barnett

Michael A. Barnett is originally from Queens, New York, but has lived in Palm Beach County since 1987. In 2023, he was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to the Board of County Commissioners, representing District 3.

As Commissioner, Barnett was assigned to the Criminal Justice Commission, the Value Adjustment Board, Public Safety Coordinating Council, and the Solid Waste Authority. 

Barnett graduated from the University of Miami School of Law, the University of South Florida, and Palm Beach State College. His professional memberships and admissions include the Florida Bar, the Southern District of Florida, the Middle District of Florida, the Palm Beach Bar Assn., the South Palm Beach County Bar Assn., the Federalist Society, the Inns of Court, and the Knights of Columbus.
