Palm Beach State College is dedicated to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for all employees. The College adheres to applicable laws, rules and regulations governing workers’ compensation.

An employee must report, within twenty-four (24) hours, injuries sustained while performing job duties to their supervisor and campus security who shall complete a report, pursuant to the accompanying Workers’ Compensation and Illness in Line of Duty Procedure 6Hx-18-5.07P.

ILOD shall provide pay for lost wages during the waiting period prior to the time that indemnity payments begin under workers’ compensation law from the College’s insurance provider.

Illness in Line of Duty of up to five (5) duty days shall not be paid more than one time per injury or illness or more than one time per calendar year.
