1. Palm Beach State College faculty and staff shall assume no responsibility for minors who are not officially enrolled at Palm Beach State College.

2. Minors not officially enrolled at Palm Beach State College are prohibited the use of College facilities except with the permission of an instructor and approved by the supervisor, or other College official.

3. Persons accompanying a non-enrolled minor creating a disturbance or being uncooperative shall be requested by the instructor, supervisor, or College official to cooperate in maintaining decorum and avoid creating a disturbance. Under no circumstances should the instructor, supervisor, or College official enter into any altercation with him or her but should call the Supervisor of Security and Safety or an appropriate College administrator for action.

4. Any unaccompanied minor who creates a disturbance or appears to be lost and unattended shall, for said unaccompanied minor’s safety, health and welfare, be placed in the care of law enforcement authorities to locate a responsible person for said unaccompanied minor.

5. Faculty and staff are enjoined from entertaining on campus their own minor children who are not enrolled in Palm Beach State College or children for whom they are responsible who are not matriculated students. This prohibition does not deny entry of minor children to campus activities to which they are specifically invited.

6.  A release, waiver of liability, and assumption of risk form, as reviewed and approved by the Office of the General Counsel, must be completed by a parent or guardian for every minor prior to the minor participating in a Program for Minors.
