Paying for College

Learn how PBSC staff can help you manage your investment in education

Invest in Your Education and Career

Students say affordability is one of the top reasons why they choose to attend Palm Beach State College. The College is committed to providing students with a high-quality, accessible and affordable education. PBSC's low tuition, along with financial aid and scholarships, makes college possible for students of all income levels.

Overview of Financial Aid and Payment Options

There are two offices at Palm Beach State College that help students to pay for their education: the Office of Financial Aid and Student Account Services.

Office of Financial Aid

The Office of Financial Aid helps students to apply for funding that may cover expenses like tuition, fees and course materials. View the types of aid you may be eligible to apply for:

Grants: Free Money!
Earn free grants that typically don't need to be repaid. Federal, state and PBSC grants are typically available to students who demonstrate financial need.

Student Loans
Borrow only what you need. A loan is borrowed money you must repay with interest. PBSC grads typically pay $75/month (Dept. of Education).

Scholarships: Free money!
Earn free scholarship funds that are typically awarded to students based on academic achievements or areas of study.

Part-time Work
Earn money to help cover educational expenses through part-time, on-campus jobs funded by federal or state programs.

Student Account Services

The Student Account Services office collects your payments. If you're eligible for financial aid payments or any of the payment types listed below, our staff will apply them to your student account.

Florida Prepaid or 529 College Savings
Use your college savings plans, like Florida Prepaid, at PBSC. Contact the Student Account Services' cashier’s office for details.

Sponsorships
If your tuition is covered by a sponsoring company, nonprofit organization or governmental agency, Student Account Services will manage billing details.

Zero-Interest Payment Plan
Pay your tuition in installments with no interest during the academic year with PBSC's Payment Plan option.

Self-financing
With tuition rates among the lowest in Florida, some students and their families pay for their education with personal savings and income.
