Program Overview

Palm Beach State College’s Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) in Information Management prepares students for leadership roles in today’s technology-driven world with advanced coursework in project management, database administration and network security, offering flexible concentrations and hands-on experiences that empower graduates to excel in IT and business environments.

Students choose to specialize in three concentration areas: 

  • Database Administration and Data Analytics (Code: BAS T801): learn the fundamentals of data analytics, data visualization and data science to prepare you to lead teams in organizational decision-making.  
  • Project Management (Code: BAS T804): courses in finance, legal and ethical issues, communications, leadership and more provide students with the background and knowledge to pursue managerial-level positions in information technology and information management. 
  • Security and Network Assurance (Code: BAS T803): learn the essentials of cryptography, computer forensics, business data communications to prepare you to lead employers in securing their networks.
