Program Overview

Power up your future with Palm Beach State College’s Residential and Commercial Electrician Career Certificate Program (CCP), where you’ll learn the hands-on skills that keep homes and businesses running safely and efficiently. Taught by licensed electricians, this industry-focused program covers electrical terminology, circuitry, wiring installation and repair, and the proper use of professional tools so you can step into the field with confidence.

Through engaging, project-based training, you’ll prepare for in-demand roles in electrical construction, maintenance, public utilities and contract work, with opportunities to continue into local apprenticeship programs and grow your career even further.

This program is supported by the PBSC4C Grant Program from the U.S. Department of Labor Strengthening Community Colleges (SCC) Round 4 grant services, enhancing academic and professional success through skills training, industry partnerships and career success coaches. Gain the skills, experience and credentials that spark long-term success in a powerful and rewarding trade.

  • Admission requirements: None. To receive financial aid, a high school diploma or GED may be required. 
  • Location: Lake Worth
  • Clock Hours: 1,200 
  • Program Length: 40-week daytime program or 60-week evening program
