Support & Rights for Pregnant/ Parenting Students
Pregnant and parenting students are also protected under Title IX. If pregnancy, childbirth, recovery or pregnancy-related conditions are affecting your ability to succeed in your classes, the College may be able to provide support and academic adjustments to help you continue your education.
Support options are determined in collaboration with you and your professors and may include excused absences, opportunities to make up missed work, remote participation or work-from-home options, modified classroom seating or other reasonable accommodations based on your needs.
Lactation Rooms
Palm Beach State College provides private, non-bathroom spaces for students and employees to express breast milk as required by law.
If your campus does not have a lactation room, please follow up with the Title IX office or your supervisor for arrangements.
