Admission Requirements

If you already earned credits at other colleges or postsecondary institutions and want to transfer to PBSC, we will gladly welcome you. Here are the steps you need to take to continue your education at PBSC.

  • Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges
  • Official transcripts from high school (unless waived)

Steps to Becoming a Panther

1. Submit Your Application
Complete the PBSC admissions application and pay a $40 non-refundable application fee.

You will be asked to select a program that interests you. Take our free career assessment to help you determine your path.

2. Create Your Student Account and Download the MyPBSC app
Look out for an email about setting up your PBSC account in Workday to access essential information.

Download the MyPBSC mobile app to easily log in to your account, track your class assignments, learn about campus events and more.

3. Establish Florida Residency (if applicable)
Submit residency documentation via Workday to potentially save on tuition costs. PBSC’s in-state tuition rate is among the lowest in Florida.

4. Apply for Financial Aid
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using federal school code 001512. It’s the first step for earning potential scholarships and grants or accessing loans.

Don’t wait to submit your FAFSA. Some funds are only available on a first-come, first-served basis.

5. Send Your Official Transcripts
Request for official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and high schools to be sent directly to PBSC. The high school transcript may be waived if you’ve earned an associate or bachelor’s degree from another accredited institution.

6. Take and Submit Placement Tests Scores (if applicable)
Placement tests help determine the level of courses you register for. Review our placement testing guidelines. If you're unsure of your status, please contact the New Student Orientation office at nso@pbsc.edu for more information.

7. Make an Appointment with an Orientation Advisor
Please make a one-on-one appointment with a New Student Orientation advisor to evaluate your transfer credits and register for classes.

Congratulations on continuing your college journey at PBSC!
